Join the Akamai Compute team in Toronto this year at the Olympics of Tech – Collision.

The tables turn when you take control of the conversation on our Q&A track. Where else would you get the chance to pick the brains of founders, politicians, astronauts, executives and investors? Get answers to the questions you’ve always wanted to ask on one of the most honest and open stages in tech.

The Akamai Compute team is hosting the following in-person Master Classes you won’t want to miss:

Session 1:

Presenter: Billy Thompson

When: Tuesday, June 27 at 3:30 PM EST.

What: Embracing Cloud-Native and Portable Architectures:

Abstract: The rise of cloud computing has fundamentally transformed the way we build, deploy, and scale applications. Monolithic applications are often difficult to manage and scale, and made more difficult due to the reliance on managed cloud services. This talk will explore how organizations benefit from maintaining flexibility and portability, by investing in a cloud-native architecture that leverages containers, microservices, Kubernetes, and open-source technologies.

Session 2:

Presenters: David Chao, Jon Hill

When: Wednesday, June 28th at 2:30 PM EST.

What: Empowering Founders to Grow Profitably

Abstract: Startups can achieve profitable growth using cloud-native architectures that are portable, scalable, and resilient. Hyperscalers lock-in with proprietary tools; Akamai promotes open-source technologies to empower startups to use the best cloud for their workloads. Akamai helps startups reduce cloud costs while creating revenue and customer opportunities. For investors or founders, this session will help provide the best resources and support for your startups in today’s environment.

In addition to the sessions above, Akamai Technologies Co-Founder & CEO – Dr. Tom Leighton – is hosting a fireside chat on “Why you should look beyond the ‘big three’ cloud providers” at 11:40 AM EST on Wednesday, June 28th.

While you’re there, be sure to visit us at Booth E367 to meet some of the Akamai Compute team and get some cool Akamai swag!
